There have been a lot of hints and some discussion from strategic partners, sponsors, potential sponsors, and friends about what is launching on January 1st. Here is the “low-down” as they say….
It’s clear that small business owners are looking, struggling, really – to grow sales, revenues, and profits. Some of us did OK, or even very well. Many did not. It hit me at the end of summer that some more focused efforts should be made to help small town, and big city, North American business owners grow their businesses. When small business grows locally, then communities are better off, and we all give more to non-profits. It is a huge win to help small businesses grow.
On January 1, I’ll be launching a 50 city small business speaking tour – to talk about innovation, collaboration, Asset-based thinking(C), sales effectiveness and sales inspiration. Cities and towns are still being finalized – if you want a fun, inspirational book event in your town or city – write me and tell me why. If you have a good business venue (book store, retailer, spa (!) , corporate boardroom, business association meeting) good coffee, and a crowd of 75 or more – we can figure something out. I am open to joint-presentations (with another speaker/author) as long as we are talking about helping business owners, salespeople, and non-profits to grow.
Also, on the Score More Sales website I’ll be declaring weekly updates on Fridays to show my progress and results. One of my “50s” is to gain 50 new client projects averaging $2000 each. This way I am demonstrating what others can do and should do at least privately – to document their business progress where they can see it. In this case, all can see it. Note: I am mentioning the client if they want to be recognized, and I am omitting the client name when that needs to be done (at their request).
As a professional fundraising auctioneer, I will auctioneer for 50 non-profit causes. It could be a business association – Chamber of Commerce auction, or women’s business organization, or church, school, youth sports, arts, or health cause. If you know of an organization that needs a fired-up, enthusiastic, professional to help raise funds – contact me through the Score More Sales website.
Finally, I have a mighty health goal that will keep me moving all year.
The fun part of this is that I would like to champion your mighty cause and goals – send me what you are doing in 2010 and I will mention you – as long as it is a goal that benefits society and it is legal (ethical, etc), and you agree to give me a progress report. Go forth and discover your mighty goals!
