The New 100 / 100 Project for Entrepreneur Revenue Growth

by Lori Richardson on January 9, 2011

Recently we read about an amazing woman, Sramana Mitra, who launched a project to help one million business owners do a million dollars in annual revenues by 2020. That is a very lofty goal – and she has inspired us.

Our take on it at Score More Sales is that we are offering to help 100 entrepreneurs create $100,000 in revenues (or in additional revenues- for those who are already at or beyond six-figures).  We think an extra $100K in your pocket could be of great value – not just to you, but to those you would contribute to and to your community at large.

This week we’ll roll out the new page with business owners who are ready to take the challenge. Here are the rules:

1. You must have products and/or services that have value… hopefully differentiated value- and you can convey that value.

2. You must know who your target market is – at least by demographic – even better if you have lists of potential prospective customers.

3. You must be open-minded and ready to do what ever it takes to grow your business.

4. You must have energy and enthusiasm about your products / services.

5. You must attend at least a monthly call and prepare a brief, written update every two-weeks on how your efforts are going, what new opportunities you are finding, and what challenges are in the way.

In return, WE ARE:

- hosting a teleconference call every Friday and will record it for those who cannot attend.

- offering  ”call-in” days twice a month with any questions or comments

- connecting the 100 business owners so they can support, collaborate with, and champion each other

- offering periodic no-cost workshops on things like social media and time management

- creating a web page with all of the business owners / businesses on it to help further promote them

There is a one-time, $100 investment for everything above, and we all sign a simple agreement for accountability.

When you reach your $100K (sometime in 2011 or Q1 2012) – we just ask for $500 to cover our costs, and a video or audio endorsement of our program.

Stay tuned for more details and meet the first five entrepreneurs to “step up” into this program!  By helping entrepreneurs grow revenues, we help their employees get and keep work, we help local non-profits, and that all grows our community. It just makes sense, doesn’t it?

Contact one of us at Score More Sales if you are interested in participating, or know of someone who is. We’ll send you an agreement, a couple of forms about your business for you to fill out to us, and a schedule through March of important dates for lessons, plus deadlines.

Wow, that sounds like a great program Lori. I also liked reading over the list of prerequisites. Us small business owners need to read that list and realize if we aren’t meeting them then the foundation of our business is very broke.

Fred, thanks for your comments. I went to your site, http://www.solobizcoach.com/ and find it to be a great place for resources! We are kindred spirits. Keep commenting on how we can all work together to help entrepreneurs succeed.

Agreed on my prerequisites – there are others who help those with an idea to turn it into a company. We are taking that next step – people who have the basics down – and need more revenues. Anyone wanting to grow revenues must have some basics in place.

Sounds like a terrific program, Lori. With you leading it, it ought to be very powerful.

The key, I think, is the commitment of participants and their follow-through.

    Brilliant Lori…..I’ll be tuning in!

Great idea! This sounds like an excellent program. I really like the community and accountability aspects. Do you have specific types of businesses in mind for this? Service professionals? Retail? Small companies or solopreneurs?

  • http://scoremoresales.com Lori Richardson

Patty, thanks for your comments. The main profile for this program is an entrepreneur or two partners in a small business who are services providers – any type of business services, home services, auto services, etc – I’ll have a full page about the program very shortly. Thanks for your support of the idea.

WOW that is an incredible package you are putting together!
Lori you have an energy that is palpable for creating new ideas and putting them into action. And can I just say that I love this year is the 100/100 and it equals the same as your 50/50/50/50 of 2010.

Lori, you are amazing. I love this idea, and I have a unique entrepreneur that I think is up for the challenge.

As for me, I took notes on the excellent prerequisites to make sure my sales/marketing is aligned with the basics.

This is a phenomenal follow-up from your last-year’s challenge, Lori. You keep upping the ante!

Lori – I’m intrigued, impressed, and excited. Supporting people to become more effective in their businesses and realize financial goals is important work. Most of us don’t know how to do it. We begin our business and keep working and learn as we go. I look forward to learning more about your program and whether it is a fit for me or some of my clients or colleagues.

Barbara – thanks for the vote of confidence. I will have more information and details posted tomorrow!
